Monday night Wet Leg played a sold out show at Delmar Hall. The show was originally scheduled for September but was postponed. The band founded in 2019 by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers gained a lot of attention with their debut single “Chaise Longue” in 2021. I had tried to see the band in Chicago in 2021 but tickets sold out extremely fast so once I heard they were going to be in St. Louis at Delmar Hall I made sure to get a ticket the day they went on sale.
As soon as the band took the stage, the fans went crazy. Kicking things off with “Being In Love” and about halfway into the song a fan in the front row collapsed and the band stopped the show to get them some water and make sure that they were ok and then picked up where they had stopped. The twelve song set consisted of all but one song off their debut album and that was ” Loving You” but did play a non album song called “Obvious”. After “Ur Mum” Josh Omead Mobaraki thanked the crowd for taking part in the scream during the song as they had played shows that the crowd did nothing and it was kind of acquired. The night was closed out with “Chaise Longue” the song that shot them into the public eye.
