I arrived at the Ready Room around half an hour before doors opened and the crowd was already wrapped around the block. I was still in a better position than I was for Catfish and the Bottlemen but still knew that this was going to be a hard shoot. As I entered I could tell that the best place to shoot from would be on the left side of the stage as lead singer Matthew Murphy sets up on that side and it also had the best line of site with the least amount of obstruction from fans.

Coast Modern opened the night. The lighting was ok at best. With a wash of blue, green, and pink for most the set it was hard to get any nice color shots.

I had the same issues with the lighting for The Wombats as I did for Coast Modern. The band thing about being on the left side of the stage is that I missed out on a lot of good shots of bassist Tord Ă˜verland Knudsen. Murphy has limited movement on stage playing keyboard and doing vocals while Knudsen is almost always bouncing around stage.

Overall it was a hard shoot between the position I was in and lighting, but I still managed a few nice shots.
