Tuesday night Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox brought Tsunami Sea tour to a packed Pageant for a sold out show. Out on tour with the band is Liverpool, Englands heavy metal band Loathe and Portland, Oregon’s metalcore band Dying Wish.
Dying wish got the circle pit started early but had to stop around midway set as a fan had to be taken out after getting hurt. That didn’t stop the crowd from continuing a circle pit shortly after the band started back up.
By the time Spiritbox took the stage the crowd had been wiped up into a frenzy. The stage was set up with Drummer Zev Rose positioned on top of a large riser and smaller risers were positioned to each side with stares so that band members could play from various locations. Bassist Josh Gilbert was to the right of singer Courtney LaPlante and guitarist Mike Stringer was to her left, but all three members moved freely around the stage at various points in the show. The sixteen song set was heavily dominated by songs off their new album Tsunami Sea, that was just released on March 7th, but also featured some fan favorites like ‘Circle With Me’, ‘Jaded’, and ‘The Void’.
