Fans packed The Pageant Thursday night to see Walk the Moon on their Press Restart Tour.
Chicago Indie rockers Company of Thieves opened the night. The first time I saw them was back in 2009 when they opened for Our Lady Peace. I remember the show vividly as the band dressed up as characters from The Wizard of Oz as it was the day before Halloween. The band reunited last year after a six-year break and released a new single entitled “Treasure”. They are going to start working on a new EP after the tour.
Walk the Moon took stage to screaming fans. The band kicked things off with ‘Press Restart’, the opening track to their new album ‘What if Nothing’, also the name of the tour. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca bounced around stage like he was in an eighties workout video. To be honest the whole band from start to finish brings non-stop energy to their show. The set relied heavily on their two most recent albums but did dip into their first album ‘I want! I want!’ for ‘Lisa Baby’ and ‘Anna Sun’.
